1 day Inflateable fun days near Oban
These are new for 2010 to make use of the great white water kayaking on the River Awe on the West Coast of Scotland close to Oban & Fort William. This is a great day trip with continous white water that is dam controlled and runs all summmer long.
These are super stable kayaks that are light and easy to manouver on a great river with a beautiful gorge section before finishing into the sea.
Meet 10am Taynuilt Pier ie where the River Awe runs into the sea (Loch Etive), We issue wetsuits and semi dry jackets , bouyancy aids and crash hats.
Shuttle to the top of the river taking your lunch & a few spare clothes in Dry Bags and then we set off down learning on the move in these most forgiving of kayaks. The more energetic can try surfing on small waves and really learn to work the river which is transferable to hard shell plastic kayaks or you can just drift along and enjoy the wonderful scenery.
We try and find a sunny spot for lunch and then continue through the gorge section before it opens out to meet Loch Etive and we are back at Taynuilt Pier byabout 4pm.
