GIGHA WEEKEND/ 2 or 3 DAY MIDWEEK.

This is a paradise close to the city. Its about 2 1/2hrs drive from Glasgow to the Gigha Ferry in Tayinloan. Excellent paddling with beautiful sandy beaches all round the island interspersed with rugged cliffs.

The last ferry departs Tayinloan for Gigha on Friday evening at 6pm and on Sunday departs Gigha for Tayinloan at 4.30pm.

This weekend is aimed at those who would like to kayak for 4-6 hrs per day and also enjoy what else Gigha has to offer. It is expected that everyone will have sea kayaked before, but a high level of competence is not required. We would aim to improve peoples personal paddling in an informal setting but primarily to enjoy this beautiful island.

It is possible to camp or stay in one of the excellent B&Bs or self catering cottages , let us know your preference. The island has many lovely walks and the beautiful gardens. This is a great trip to share with a non kayaking partner. Some how reminiscent of Cornwall.
